Farewell, Pumpkin

The picture above is not the picture of my old car. I took some of the photos and it wasn’t great but do it to have some memories of it. Why I chose this image? Because the colour is the closest to my car, which I called it “Pumpkin.”

Last Saturday, I decided to sell my car. It was my “adulting” moment. I had to negotiate for a decent car price, make decisions if I wanted to take the hassle to do all the Puspakom checks or just go through Carsome, a car selling platform. The good thing about Carsome was I did not have to do all the paperwork as Carsome will do it for me.

I was so prepared to sell my car that I brought my whole folder of car receipts from the purchase to the service, just in case if they wanted to see it. I brought all my car keys too just in case. Within 1 1/2 hours, Pumpkin was inspected, negotiating the price and finally signing of the documents of my car.

It was surreal that I don’t have my car anymore. To be honest, I don’t feel anything much about it because I haven’t been driving much and have been but yet when I want to go see an exhibition in National Art Gallery, then I feel a bit immobile though. Anyway, it is alright. If I was still living with my parents, they are hesitant to let me take Grab/cabs alone but being married gave me more independence to choose where I want to go instead of being stuck at home.

I felt free for selling my car. There is no more worrying about the repairs of my car and one less expenses to think about.
